A good rotary hoe. And being on time. A good rotary will get 99 percent ,just not giant rag, they can germinate from 2 to 4 inchs below, thats where the in row weeding crew comes in.Also were finding ridge till and the rolled rye procedure, planted no till, for organic beans, seems to hold back weeds except the giant rag. Also we switched from 30 inch to 38s sure makes cultivating alot simpler and fewer rows per acre, for the weeding crew..
