North of London | So try to stop and think about what I am pointing out.
You have a public meeting, there will be people there from many places with many ideas.
They will worship many different gods and yes some do not worship any.
So somebody at the front calls on his god to do something and conducts a prayer.
Now have you checked how effective prayer is?
Then you will realize that the only good thing with prayer is the meditation that a person might do in that situation.
So why is it right or a good thing for that person to take over a public meeting and 'feel good'?
Why can they not do their 'feeling good' on their own time and in private.
I do not 'push' atheism but rather rational thought, critical thinking and accepting facts over just a belief.
BTW why is it that those who do not believe in the god of the person at the front of the meeting have to be the 'bigger/better man and just tolerate' that is what I am saying the person at the public meeting should not be putting people in a position to have tolerate his/her religious ceremony. Maybe they could just get by until they were in a place where others did not need to tolerate them. But it seems they do not think of others only themselves. | |
