Yes, but when the revolutionaries take power, they do not, as a rule, negotiate with the people who had been in control prior to that. They simply take it away from the established Big Money. This is why, IMHO, communism is so hated by the powers that be. And, again IMHO, this is why Cuba could not appear to be successful, since the revolution would most probably spread to other countries. Same goes for Allende in Chile. Neither Cuba nor Chile could be allowed to become an example of a country that had a revolution and that revolution resulted in a successful conclusion - even short term. In the eyes of Big Money, Cuba had to be isolated and impoverished. What is interesting to me, is that it is still going on.
