Pittsburg, Kansas

I would have to disagree.

The way to kill communism or socialism is to trade freely with them. Communism is born, bred and lives within a nation. An outside nation does not take it away. It dies the same way, from within, not from without. I'm afraid we in the US are in gestation phase, as these things tend to go in cycles.

Look at the "democracy" we have inflicted on unwilling people. We install a puppet government that is as corrupt as the previous ones in power. The only difference is the new puppet is friendly to the US needs and wants. Have we really forced anyone out of comunism and into freedom? What about China? Did they become more capitalistic and free because we forced them to, or because we traded with them?

I think our silliness kept Castro in power instead of disposed him.

My opinion. I believe in the free market where people trade freely is the best antidote to governments out of control. The people do not live in complete isolation. They figure out what is going on and the best way for that to happen is to have outside contact with the world.
