The way we penciled it out is using our 17.5' ripper, 10% is 1.75', I don't know anyone that can drive within 10% without any GPS all day or night. If you start adding 10% to your fuel, repairs and time it adds up fast. Our first system was a used outback e-drive on our JD 8970, we felt it paid for itself in the second year.

I don't see any point in just guidance with no auto steer, you are still concentrating on looking forward and not watching the equipment as much as you can with steering.

The only passes across our land that is not auto-steered is rock picking (some of it but not all) and corn combining (as of now).
