Subject: autosteer - good investment or not

SC
I have not been able to convince myself that 14 to 15,000 dollars is going to give a good ROI for a greenstar sys with FS2. I have one tractor autotrac ready and will have another in 2011. Also have several old tractors that I would not use it on. It would only be used for burndown and planting as I have no yield monitors on peanut or grain combine or cotton picker and don't expect to anytime soon. One employee hates high tech stuff and other employee is a green rookie who is just learning how to operate throttle and brakes. Already have raven cruisers for burndown. I have 1800 acres scattered over 30 miles so RTK is not an option as I would have to move a base station 6 or 8 times and I don't have the manpower for that job. I did not post in precision forum because thats like asking a barber if you need a haircut.

P.S. I have a relative who has gone this route and he acts like its a nobrainer. I guess I have no brain.
