Subject: Trimble

Eastern VA. No such thing as too many Magnums.
If you want a capable, inexpensive system, get a used EZ500 that's already unlocked for omnistar. Since you already have the steering vavle on the tractor, you just need the autopilot/nav2. I bought one new EZsteer setup a few years ago and now we have six tractors with autosteer. The nav2 is much better since it works in reverse. That is a big deal for people who have to pull the KMC ripper/bedder and don't have endrows to line up on. I also have factory greenstar autotrac on the 4720 sprayer and I hate it. I did upgrade the software yesterday and maybe that will help. I'd much rather have the trimble with a nav 2. Deere stuff is overpriced and doesn't work as reliable in my experience. You ought to at least consider an ebay buy, because you don't need dealer support, you got agtalk. Even if you decide to go new, I'd still go with trimble, but I'd opt for the new 750 instead.
