Casey IL. ( I -70 ) then south on rt.49
I have ben around cattle all my life (57yr. ) and what you are going through is not uncommon but it will happen. I'm sure you are doing and trying your best. You are concerned, ( understandably) you do have good cattle. I have had all deferent kinds (breeds) and its sounds like she did her thing, if she is a good heifer and out of good cow is there no 2nd chance, most of the problem might have ben because no one was there to help the calf learn, I have had dumb calf before and that is not always the cows fault just happens. Last but not least don't take this the wrong way, but is there away to bring the heifers home to calve and then take them back. Heifers usually take more attention. It does seem tht I get along better when the grass is coming on. I tkink you will figure it out, you are concerd. Don't blame the hiefer try to figure out what you could do deferant. trying to be helpfull. Tim
