North Mo. | My remark was from factual experience on maybe 10 or more can't really remember the number of angus bulls from 1980 or so all performance tested which is ok for a terminal bull but makes poor cows for grazing. It got so bad I cussed every time I bought a bull for years I was unable to find seed stock producers which were hard on their cows. Funny part is we had a local guy a good friend of mine he died maybe 8 years ago, that grazed his bulls on pasture and his cows were pretty small by the standards promoted by University officals. I made fun of him as I was part of the gotta feed them to see who is best crowd. He was far ahead of his time and I wish I could tell him so now. Ben | |
