Jim , Sometime bad things just happen. Especially with heifers. Don't give up. Heifers calve first for two reasons. One, you can concentrate on just the heifers for the first few weeks, two it gives them a few extra weeks to come back an cycle. When your dealing with 'Teenage' mothers, Anything can go wrong,LOL.
