That is correct , if they have any gonads they would not have to go on strike ,they would simply go to work for someone else . It is a free country , at least at the moment , if you do not like the boss or his rules go somewhere else and get a job


Federal Railroad Retirement is entirely different than Social Security. If they leave the industry, they lose everything they’ve paid into. The railroads know this, and they have started using it to their advantage.

All of the current labor unrest in the rail sector is because of major attrition due to increasingly bad management (and widespread layoffs) which has caused an expanding load on the remaining employees. Hence the railroads enacting attendance policies that are unworkable for the majority of folks.
