Subject: RE: Rail strike

ec. nebr.
Since covid, railroads laid off like 45% of workers. Today they are making the rest of the workers do all of their work plus those who are no longer employed. The railroad has been trying hard to hire new people, but for about every 2 they hire, 5 more are quitting. My nephew says they will hire almost anybody now, drug test have fallen away. Past prison records forgotten, sign of desperation it appears. Even with higher wages they have a very hard time to find anyone to work. If congress and ole brandon joe force the employees to keep working and avoid a strike, I hope more refuse and just totally quit. Makes no sense! All over time off and some sick days and the railroad leadership refuses to budge meanwhile raking in record profits
