Everything is changing all the time and most do not see any of the change except what has happened in the last few years.
If they actually looked at what the changes in marriage through the years they would realize that any recent changes are minimal and for the better.
What is different in agreeing to live together without a fancy ceremony as long as they are committed to one another.
It was not that long ago that marriage was a pretty low key thing with a few close family present.
Todays weddings with fancy duds, local, and partying is relatively new.
A change that I do not think is good when most couples are starting out to build a life and needing housing etc. instead of expensive parties that are gone in a few hours and cost as much as a down payment on a house. | |
