Rain belt | When my girlfriend (now wife of 8 months) moved in with me I didn't charge her anything. However, I was able to get on her health insurance because the company she worked for honors domestic partnerships and that can be huge for a farmer.
My suggestion is to have a set amount of say 300 dollars like the other person pays and not split up the bills. It just simplifys things and is at least half of the cost of the appartment. That way you both come out ahead. Another thing to consider is how much time is this going to save you. Assuming she does he grocery shopping and at least some cleaning/laundry.
