Grandfield, Ok.
I called a great older man Mr. Thompson one morning and the wrath of him decended around my head and shoulders.( I was 10 or eleven and he was real close to 80. The conversation went like this" I've known your dad since he was in 3 corner britches. Mabel (his Wife) and I was there the night your mother came into this world and it has Always been "Bill, plain simple Bill" and if you ever call me Me again I will wear you out. I simply said Yes Sir to a very fine Gentleman.
