| I've known a lot of people who grew up in the Depression era, I wish more of them were still here. Some of them seem to have made a great transition to realizing that the time had come to try to do something profitable with their labor, some never quit trying to make more nothing out of nothing. No matter how hard of times you have lived through, I can't grasp the mindset which takes a broken V-belt from a vehicle, replaces it, and then drives a nail in a barn wall and hangs the broken one from it- because I suppose someday we will need that broken belt for something? Maybe poverty overtakes logic at a certain point. |
