Garrett County, MD | He has his ways of doing things and you won't change that.
Three choices:
1. Do it his way and go insane...
2. Walk away.
3. Take it all over from him... maybe that's the equipment work or the whole sha-bang.
I farm with my father but we each have our own responsibilities and our own people to manage.
We give each other a wide birth on decision making within our categories but we still consult each other regularly.
The reason I say this is I am responsible for all equipment repairs and maintenance, among other things. He simply has no input in how we repair and maintain our equipment unless I ask him for his opinion( And he likes it this way). Which I happen to do regularly because I value his opinion.
It feels good to be able to manage equipment the way you want to and see the results, the problem is you are responsible when something goes wrong!! ;)
Good luck
