Probably going to go nowhere with a person set like that. People can change but they tend to revert. 25 yrs ago bought a combine with dad and uncle. JD. Primary countershaft bearing went out and gouged shaft. Shaft was several hundred. Both guys are tool and die makers by trade. No way in hell are spending on a new shaft. "We can fix it". Many hours spent welding, heat treating, lathe work. Several hours put back together. 500' down field combine stops and sheave is broken off the shaft. I told them right there if WE are fixing it WE are putting new parts on. Every time we fixed something we did it right and never went back. I no longer work with them and they are back to their cheap ways on many thing . If its in him, its in him. I would (and did) remove yourself from that situation before it affects your health. This idea we must work together because we are family is wrong.
