SW TX PANHANDLE | Never tried dryland cotton on 20s but think it would work, however, on the irrigated we upped the population quite a bit. This was back when the seed company would max out your tech fee. The idea was you gained two weeks of maturity mainly because you just needed a few. I’ll per plant to make a good crop. Have had some dryland corn on 20. Mostly on pivot corners. Have made anything from nothing to 160 bushel. I would do it again if I had good residue and I full moisture profile. It will work, but you got to have a little help, unlike this year. Lol | |
