Last week a couple Friends & I made up 6 cases of Boston Butts into both Breakfast sausage & smoke link sausage, we did not find anything wrong with it, we have been doing this every Feb. for the last 10 years or more, and have never had anything but the best, the cases run around 75# or so each, That's deboned Butts, we order them from a Local place that only deals with meat and meat products, like different types of sausage and such, we place our order a few days before we will need it, I know some stores order up a lot a Butts when they are on sale, and some time they set in the store cooler for a long time, that's asking for trouble if the cooler is not up to par

sounds like that stinky meat has been stored on a cooler that not cool enough, just my 2 cent
