NW Iowa | Yes, I agree with everything you said. Handling and shelf life are dependent on the packer, distributor, grocery store, and consumer all handling the product appropriately. Genetics and lean percent can cause differences. I can think that diet will have some impact. The one nutter boar slipping through can happen and is a very bad thing. I do not for a minute believe that pork will smell and taste like manure. That sounds like someone pushing an agenda. | |
