My crawlers always idled at least 20 minutes before shut down, especially in the summertime. Cars, pickups, only if it's below zero. Newer GM/Dodge vehicals will be putting out plenty of heat in the first 1.5 miles. The V10 Ford dually, when it starts, about 4.5 - 5.5 miles before it heats up good.
