Floyd County, Iowa
I like to listen, feel, smell, and see what's going on.
I don't turn on the radio in the combine, but do listen to it while in the cab tractor.
I don't open any windows or doors, either, unless I hear something, feel something, or smell something. I like it clean in the cab.
I have a Deere 9400 combine now, and miss the tailings return door by my left heel. Could hear what it was sending back through without looking. Now it's outside the cab, behind another door. Real handy.
Yes, the cabs on the combine and 8100 are quiet, but with no radio going I can still hear what's going on.
