Opening the back window fully just gives me a cab full of hydraulic and transmission noise and a load of dust and heat. Having it just pulled to or cracked open on the ventilation notch thing seems to allow more machine noise in and less drone. I've done quite a bit of damage (tinitus) to my hearing due to load noise (thanks to Dave Grohl) and don't want it any worse.
