West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12
I call it "feeling" the equipment you are operating. All of a persons senses are involved without the person even realizing it.

Over the years I have found some people have a natural feel for operating machinery, and some people will never have the "touch" no matter how much training they receive.

As far as listening is concerned. If a person spends the money to have a climate controlled, clean environment to work in, keep the cab windows closed, it's surprising how much many more important sounds can be heard/felt, when much of the harsh noise is eliminated.

And as I get older, I find myself very seldom turning on the radio anymore, even in the truck, I honestly could care less if the machine I'm driving has a radio in it or not...it's just more distracting noise.
