Demand has price component. The average price receive by producers for corn was $3.47 per bushel for the first 10 months of 2018, Since I got over $4 for some of mine, that means that somebody got a lot less. Most corn farmers feel that they're not make a whole lot of money at the current prices, some are losing money. I'm quite certain that a good crop from 86.5 million acres harvested for grain isn't going to improve grain prices a lot if any.
