This is what it looks like to me: 1. China agrees to more talks in exchange for no further tariffs, current tariffs remain (wow what a good deal we got there); 2. China makes agreements to import more, not necessarily targeting US, but agrees to reduce their overall trade deficit; 3. China agrees to limiting tech transfer agreements for market access.
China won't re-enter US bean market.
My guess is that if China does not agree to buy U.S. soybeans (and more of them) there will be no deal. |
