SE Nebraska | J Green - 12/1/2018 08:05 So, with all the talk about a possible trade deal with China, what is everyone expectation of success? Tariffs go away, remember China had what minimal tariffs on Ag imports before this started, and the TPP agreement would have reduced those. So how does this trade deal benefit Ag in the long run. Yea, Yea, forced intellectual property transfer. If you are a company doing business in China worried about your intellectual property, it simple, don't do business there, it's your choice. No one or any government is making them do business in China. And, TPP was focused on dealing with China on the forced transfer of I.P. I don't believe China is without fault in all this but it seems U.S. farmer are paying for something they will get little if any benefit from down the road. So what does the U.S. Farmer get out of a trade deal with China that we didn't have before this all started? How does this make U.S. Farmer better off than they were before this started?
