Frederick, Md | What I feel like some of y'all are forgetting here...yes mom and dad worked 100hrs a week on THEIR operation. I also worked those kinds of hours when we milked cows on the FAMILY operation. Now I work 60+ hrs for SOMEONE ELSES operation.
If you want a guy to work like he owns the operation he needs to have some ownership. All this is coming from a guy who is doing the very same thing. I love my job and the guys treat me good, but they have gotten about all they can from me with me being just an EMPLOYEE.
Just to add...I treat the operation as if it were my own, including financially. Treat equipment like my own. Except I show up 5-6 days a week rain or shine. If it were my own operation some rainy days would be spent with family. | |
