NW Iowa | Mark has family that works for an elevator, I know cause I work for the same outfit. Sometimes it's not up to a location to set hours, sometimes they get told by higher ups what hours they'll be open. Also if neighboring elevators are full and shutting down early and your still open guess what happens, you get everyone else's grain you didn't plan on. Now your normal customers are mad because your full and can't take their grain. In the 12 years I've worked here one thing is also true, if your open till 8 they'll want you to stay until 9. You can't please everyone. | |
