I'm not defending the elevator but
Mark, this isn't aimed at you individually, but something I've noticed over the years. Why is it that when someone comes on here complaining about something they don't understand, that everyone who replies always prefaces their statement as you did above. Clearly, the words that follow show that you do agree with the elevator or at least see things from their side, but for some reason feel the need to state otherwise, presumably to spare the OP's feelings. If a person's wrong, they're wrong. I've noticed this a lot in "dealer rant" threads in particular. Someone chimes in to explain, says "you're not wrong, but," then proceeds to lay out all the reasons why the person's wrong. Maybe it's because farmers always want to take the other farmer's side, but it just seems silly to me that everybody thinks they need to tiptoe around a guy who is brazen enough to publicly throw a business under the bus for all the world to see. |
