West Central IL | Played the weather game farming before. Gonna rain Monday, so we'll work Sunday to get something done before the rain and take it easy Monday.
A. We miss Mondays rain, end up working all week and a repeat of last week's forecast the next week, work Sunday again, then finally burn yourself out.
B. It does rain Monday, but this and that needs fixed that has been put off while running hard, so still work all day and the rest of the week.
Don't get me wrong, I don't mind working a Sunday or three, but sometimes a guy just needs a break. We worked one Sunday this fall so far, were rained out the past two though, kind of nice to go back at it recharged a bit on Monday. If we keep at it, we may be done by next Sunday, weather permitting. | |
