There are just gonna be days that you roll your eyes and go "man, is it worth it"? Hate to read response where they say grab your balls and suck it up. Remember, there's alot of young guys coming home from college, or away working other jobs, and come home to a yard full of their folks' land and machinery. Nothing wrong with that, but sure takes a bunch of immediate pressure off of them making a return on investment. Most likely they'll add much to the operation, but their energy will be to improve and expand, instead of fix and survive. That's a huge difference in motivation and opportunity. Good crops follow bad crops. Bad crops follow good crops. Some areas more extreme than others. Prices go up and down like they always have. And they do it for everyone. If you're not a master welder before you hit 30, you had it too good. No one told me that things would get better in your 40's or early 50's. At least that is what it took for me. Payments slowly come to an end. Confidence and experience comes second nature as you have done it long enough to do it in your sleep. Don't be too tough on the old man, cause it really sucks when he leaves you too early. And don't worry. You won't be the first one to come on here and go "what the hell were those engineers thinking"?
