Iowa | Yes, yes, yes. I think the biggest thing to me is the quality of workmanship has gone down. We moved into a 100 year old house, still had original wiring and plumbing. Did a bunch of updates, have replaced 3 of the switches I replaced less than 7 years ago when we moved in. Replaced all the plumbing fixtures and what do you know, faucet drip in the bahroom in both the sink and tub. Stuff just isn't as durable as what it was in the 20's-80's, so when you buy something I usually end up disappointed. Now the few times I've bought brand new, I've been pleased, but on my small farm those are usually things like augers. | |
