Bremen, KS | It's a struggle, no question. Yesterday I lost a six week old bull calf that was born without the usual vigor and didn't nurse as soon as he should have. It sucks but it was our first calf lost so far this season. Last year I lost two to lightning. At least there is an insurance payout on that.
Equipment is always in need of maintenance and no matter what needs repairs especially when bought used. Even "field ready" units have trouble. In my 50s so it's easier to roll with the punches. Hang in there and blow off some steam in here when you feel the need.
