Subject: Re: Question for Coup-farm bill, land prices

My Grandpa used to say this about how to value his milk cow. "You know, like most farmers as I'm sitting on my stool milking my cow, I have my radio on the shelf turned on to the farm markets, and the guy broadcasting the markets will announce what the price of cows is worth if I grind her into hamburger. Well I really don't care much what she's worth as hamburger, so long as she gives me a full pail of milk everyday". Kinda what John Burns is saying above. Me and Old McDonald have traded barbs before, and he now realizes that I'm not in the "jealous I didn't by land 10 years ago camp". But I still believe in my formula for valuation, and I don't believe I am incorrect by a factor of 2. I wish a certified appraiser would weigh in here. I still wonder what coup knows to put a floor in here right now for the next five years, cuz I don't see ARC providing that substantial of a floor.
