Subject: RE: Landlords - the devil in disguise?

This discussion continues to amaze me.

I hear all this grumbling about the rates landlords charge, and in the next breath I hear countless stories of farmers making their pitch for ground at the funeral home before the service is over. What are they supposed to think? I firmly believe it's tenants that usually set the top rate for an area in an effort to pull some acreage away from a neighbor / competitor, then realize they jumped into the deep end of the pool and can't make it float. Well once the precedence has been set, it's hard to put the toothpaste back in the tube.

Farmers aren't the only ones that have a coffee clutch and lie discuss about how much money they make. Land lords talk and word gets around when someone finds a sugar daddy and sets the tone of future discussions re: land rent.
