North Dakota | I don’t disagree. Whenever I am approached by young farmers about what they can do to become more self sufficient and control their future I tell them buy land and build commodity storage. Granted it is not easy but then neither is being a peasant. Make whatever sacrifices you can to at least secure the primary asset of your business. Forego new vehicle, machinery, home, outbuilding, family “luxury”, etc purchases and plow that into purchasing land. Then take any extra profit you have and build commodity storage to take better advantage of marketing opportunities. | |
