I wasn't "griping" (you replied to me).
I just said that I like the pork that my neighbor raises. He has berkshire cross, and they have more fat on them (the "old fashioned" part- his term, not mine), which tastes better to me. I like the way he feeds them and raises them. I used to raise similar hogs. We cook the cuts with the fat on, within reason, and trim it off before we eat it.
I buy it where I can- my neighbor.
And like every other consumer, if I don't like something, for WHATEVER reason, I won't buy it, no matter what the seller thinks I should do.
We do, however, buy bacon and hams from the stores. The wife has her brands chosen for each of those items. If her brand isn't in the meat counter, she doesn't bring any home.
