We even raised hogs in confinement for years, have bought butcher hogs from other confinement growers for years, but have never noticed the smell of hog crap in meat like we have experienced in the last several years. Between a few friends and family we usually buy 300 - 400 pounds of boxed pork per year.
That may be your problem, buying boxed pork. Get it from the meat case. Your post is giving pork a bad name, not good, so think
