Yes.
Low compression and too cool of engine temp at low idle allows fuel to wash down the cylinders, removing oil film. The primary reason I don't allow anything to idle anymore than necessary. If I do idle I try to do a fast idle. To increase compression and temp.

ALL diesel engine manufacturers recommend AGAINST extended idling.
