When I was in the business 20 years ago, for rough figuring, we went with:
Basement, including excavation, not finished, $10k
House, basic (but good quality- no menard's junk), one bath, utility room, $125 sq ft
Garage, 2 car, single oh door (28 x 28 max) , attached, unfinished, $10k

These were rough starting point estimations. 
That was 20 years ago. I have no idea what exact prices are now, but I know they are quite a bit higher.
