I think you right it's all more conditioning under the fear of terrorism so people willingly give up their freedoms. I still think the next thing will be recording ones movements and miles driven for an additional mileage tax. There is no end to the thirst for revenue. The hallmark of a free society is the ability to travel freely though out it with out having to "show your papers" whether those are physical papers or electronic. Of course everyone is so hooked into their phones and have no idea of the wealth of info they willingly give up by using them. Very interesting though, when the power to use surveillance by the citizenry is mentioned the screeching for restricting it is deafening.
