North of London | So the book that all your faith and beliefs are based on is too complicated to understand.
You might want to back up and reconsider that statement and then reconsider why you would believe in a book that was so poorly written that it has to be interpreted by other men to explain what it says.
I would think any god that is so smart and powerful would be able to write plainly so anyone reading it would 'interpret' it correctly and not have to depend on others to figure it out.
If any god was able to see and understand the future it should have foreseen the problem of a Bible which contradicts itself and is so miss mashy that it has to be interpreted by others.
Those who want a magical being to be in charge of everything will convince themselves of anything to fill that need.
Those who look at things critically and seek evidence to prove things before accepting them will see the failings of the Bible as well as other religious texts that claim improbable and impossible things. | |
