It then either has to be broken up by the government, or they payoff the right people to continue to push their way to wealth at the expense of others. Carnegie and Frick and the steel mills were a great example. If corruption stays out of it it prolongs it but nearly everyone can be bought for a price.
Well, it's got problems. But capitalism sure has led to more progress and more prosperity than prior societies when basically everything belonged to the monarchs and a handful of landed nobles.
And it's for sure fed millions more, and starved, murdered, and imprisoned millions less than Marxism-Leninism-Stalinism-Maoism- etc. |
