If you want to farm why don't you move to an area that doesn't have development potential and buy? Why fight the "old money" and put yourself in a position that the only way a land purchase works is if it appreciates in value a bunch every year?

Andy now how spread out is your farming operations ? A family just east of us set up a operation 30-40 yrs. ago in Miss. as they needed more opportunties for family to farm and have been successful there also ,but said it was a real learning curve from farming to souhtern culture.
Did the Ray Rawson family also move south?
