North Central Illinois
I have no clue what will happen or what the right answer is. I'm extremely grateful that we are well beyond the years of having kids in school. I suspect homeschooling will continue to grow in popularity but just like with Zoom learning that requires a one income household with one parent at home at all times. How common is that anymore? I think they at least need to make an attempt to get the children back in the classrooms. What it the level of acceptable sickness or loss for each district? I don't know but I think we are about to find out. Taking precautions and using PPE is hard enough for adults. Expecting youngsters to wear a mask properly so that it actually works is asking a lot as is asking them to remain six feet apart. In most cases I don't think teachers get paid nearly enough. With what they are facing this year they for sure don't get paid enough.
