Subject: RE: unleaded vs gasohol in small engines. which fuel treatment

I live in the mountains, huge temp. and humidity swings.I have lots of toys ,tools and cars.Never had a problem with fuel injection ,YET,due to fairly frequent use. Carberated , everyone of them has had an issue with 10% E 85 oct..My solution, 91 non ethanol mixed with a third 100 oct.low lead av gas.Haven't had a problem since.Wether it is the bad blend of "gas",I don't care. The additional expense for the better fuel is well worth it. It must be a problem around here as the fuel station's customers are about 90% of people showing up with 1 to 5 gal. cans for their small engines.I also noted that Polaris has a fuel selector for ethanol/non ethanol on their newer models.I don't know what specifically it does. Are the pro ethanol people growing corn by any chance? For the disbelievers of ethanol attracting water, you have never had an air brake problem where the only solution is to add an alcohol which lowers the freezing temp. of water, and dehumidifies the air.
