Subject: RE: unleaded vs gasohol in small engines. which fuel treatment

Wallis, TX
For lack of a better description it was varnish, brake clean would kinda flush it but it took Berryman carb cleaner to loosen it good but never really did dissolve. Swabbed a lot out with rags and it dried but stunk, not rust from metal tank. To get it clean we’d put some Berryman in, shake the vehicle, tilt over and suck with suction gun, finished by swabbing bottom.

We redid the fuel pump for customer last summer, wasn’t in there then, tank was clean. He ran it a little then it set in to raining all fall and winter. This spring when it dried up engine wouldn’t fire up. This is what we found. $500 in parts to fix. He wasn’t a very happy camper!!!!!
