Not the exact same thing, but I dealt with some similar circumstances mainly because of my parent's bad marriage. I'd been promised certain things from Grandma and then later from Dad concerning the farm, but when it was time Dad would say "you don't understand, you don't have to live with her." Plus my sister is very jealous and mucked things up too. If I hadn't had already bought my own land I would have walked away.
How is the young guys suppose to carry on?
